Arthur (le Cosquino) de Bussy was trained as a musician. He graduated at the conservatorium as a pianist and first grade music teacher. Also he followed training as an orchestra conductor.
At 26 years of age Arthur started his professional carreer as director of a music school. Besides he performed during 10 years as piano player and conductor of national and international artists such as Edison winner Philippe Elan, Marjol Floor and Jenny Arean, all famous Dutch artists.
His management-carreer was continued with several directorates for Centres for the Arts. During this period he attended numerous coarses and trainings in the field of management, strategy & policy development.
In 2001 he founded De Bussy Consult in which he, together with many partners and on his own, fullfilled national and international assignments.
Except from research the office built a strong reputation for complex - often politically sensative - international cultural projects. Specialiaties are quality management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and change management. Interimmanagement assignments were executed on a regular basis.
Own initiatives included amongst others the introduction of professional intermediate arts educaton in the Netherlands and recent online initiatives in the field of crowdfunding.
As a volunteer he fullfilled many social functions. Arthur was a member of the board of War Child, was a chair of the World Children Festival and many other foundations. Currently he is chair of the Foundation Audiovisual Antropology Netherlands (SAVAN) and Foundation Fort of Imagination.
